Job description

Join Apple's wireless silicon development team, focusing on energy-efficient design and innovative technologies that enhance user experience. As a Wireless Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the silicon design group, impacting the delivery of advanced products to millions of customers. Your work will involve RTL design of wireless MAC and collaboration with various teams to develop top-tier wireless MAC IPs. This position requires a strong background in computer architecture and ASIC design.

Requirements

  • BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Proven track record of high performance designs in high volume production for low power applications
  • Solid background in computer architecture including bus fabric, memory systems, and power management
  • Experience in ASIC design front end flows such as Lint, CDC, STA, and LEC
  • Knowledge of wireless protocols such as Bluetooth, WLAN, or Zigbee is preferred
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in ASIC design flow
  • Proficiency in HDL languages, such as Verilog or SystemVerilog
  • Scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python are desirable

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for RTL design of wireless MAC and its interface with the wireless SoC
  • Interact with software, wireless system, and design verification teams to develop wireless MAC IPs
  • Ensure optimal power and area trade-offs in design
  • Collaborate effectively within a team and meet aggressive schedules
  • Communicate clearly and maintain self-motivation and organization
