Job description

This role is part of a premier design team at Apple responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and integration of the baseband system for all Apple products. The team focuses on the digital and power management domain of wireless chipsets, requiring collaboration with various engineering groups. Candidates will leverage their electrical engineering expertise to contribute to innovative product development. Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience with schematic capture, layout design, and review.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with mobile platform system design and high-volume consumer electronics design.
  • Experience with voltage regulators, LDO, and switch mode power supplies.
  • Experience with high-speed and low-speed digital interfaces such as PCIe, SPMI, I2C, and UART.
  • Bench-level design verification experience with high-speed oscilloscopes.
  • Signal and power integrity simulation experience with tools like Matlab, PowerSI, SIwave, and HFSS.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the baseband system architecture for Apple products.
  • Collaborate proactively with multi-functional engineering groups.
  • Manage the digital and power management domain of wireless chipsets from concept to product announcement.
  • Maintain a firm grasp of the entire product landscape outside of wireless design.
  • Conduct design verification and simulation to ensure system integrity.
