Job description
This is a Senior Linux System Engineer position focused on end-to-end system validation. The role involves building and supporting critical infrastructure for applications used across multiple teams. The engineer will work with automation tools and scripts in a large-scale Linux environment. Collaboration with various teams to analyze and debug data is essential.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Linux production systems at scale.
- Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Go.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools like Ansible and Puppet.
- Knowledge of Hadoop and its ecosystem including Hive, Pig, Spark, HDFS, HBase, Oozie, and Zookeeper.
- Experience with UNIX and TCP/IP network stack components.
Responsibilities
- Build and automate critical infrastructure supporting applications across multiple teams.
- Run automation pipelines for provisioning, orchestration, and monitoring on Linux bare metal and virtual machines.
- Collaborate across teams to run workloads and analyze or debug data.
- Evolve and modify the Analytics Platform based on changing requirements.
- Write code, tests, and documentation while participating in code reviews.
