Apple's System Firmware and Diagnostics team is seeking an embedded firmware engineer to design, develop, and debug firmware for manufacturing and testing processes of Apple products. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or relevant work experience
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming
• Background in embedded firmware development in multi-threaded systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both peer and management audiences
• Proficiency in interpreting and navigating schematics and layouts
• Working knowledge of standard hardware protocols such as USB, UART, SPI, I2C, PCIe, MIPI, and PCM
• Hands-on experience with debugging tools like gdb, lldb, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
• Well-versed in board bring-up and new product development

• Design and develop firmware for manufacturing systems used in embedded devices
• Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues during the manufacturing and testing processes
• Collaborate with team members to integrate core technologies into system firmware
• Participate in rapid iteration and innovation within the firmware development process
