Job description
The RFIC Layout Engineer will be an integral part of the Wireless SoC Radio Team, focusing on the design and layout of advanced CMOS radios. This team is dedicated to creating highly energy-efficient RF, analog, and mixed-signal blocks for next-generation wireless technologies. The role involves working with cutting-edge technology nodes and ensuring high-volume production readiness. The engineer will leverage their expertise in custom RF/analog layout to contribute to innovative solutions in the field.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of industry experience.
- Experience with FinFet technology.
- Extensive knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS for radio transceivers.
- Proficiency in layout techniques for device matching and minimizing parasitics.
- Solid understanding of RC delay, electromigration, and coupling effects.
- Familiarity with guard rings, DNW, PN junctions, and advanced process effects.
- High proficiency in interpreting CALIBRE DRC, ERC, and LVS in FinFet technology.
- Knowledge of CADENCE layout tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Scripting skills in PERL or SKILL.
Responsibilities
- Research and design RFIC layouts for next-generation wireless technologies.
- Ensure the layout meets specifications for device matching and RF shielding.
- Minimize parasitics and optimize high-frequency routing in designs.
- Collaborate with team members to bring designs into high-volume production.
- Interpret and apply DRC, ERC, and LVS checks in the layout process.
