Job description

The RFIC Layout Engineer will be a vital member of the Wireless SoC Radio Team, which focuses on designing highly energy-efficient CMOS radios. This role involves researching and designing RF, analog, and mixed-signal blocks for next-generation wireless technologies. The engineer will work on custom RF/analog layout for radio transceivers, ensuring high-volume production in advanced CMOS technology nodes. The position requires extensive knowledge of layout techniques and a solid understanding of various electrical concepts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with FinFet technology.
  • Extensive knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS.
  • Proficiency in CADENCE layout tools.
  • Scripting skills in PERL or SKILL.

Responsibilities

  • Research and design RF, analog, and mixed-signal blocks.
  • Create custom RF/analog layouts for radio transceivers.
  • Minimize parasitics and ensure RF shielding in designs.
  • Interpret CALIBRE DRC, ERC, and LVS in FinFet technology.
  • Collaborate with team members to bring technologies into high-volume production.
