Job description

Apple's Camera Color Algorithm team is seeking dedicated engineers to innovate in photography and video technology across all Apple products. The role focuses on developing camera technology, image signal processing, and machine learning to enhance the quality of Apple cameras. Engineers will have the opportunity to work closely with various teams, including silicon design and camera hardware/software. This position is ideal for self-starters eager to see their ideas come to life and impact how users capture moments.

Requirements

  • MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Imaging Science, or Optics.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • In-depth experience in camera system modeling and simulation.
  • Experience in camera color characterization and color image processing.
  • Proficient in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience in camera ISP algorithms, including AWB and color conversion.
  • Background in computational photography and machine learning.
  • Strong skills in diagnosing complex color issues and fine-tuning parameters.

Responsibilities

  • Characterize cameras and develop innovative algorithms.
  • Diagnose issues and fine-tune parameters for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the sensor team, architecture team, and HW & SW engineers.
  • Contribute to the product development process with creative solutions.
