Job description

The Custom Design Automation Engineer will be part of the Digital Design Engineering group, focusing on automating custom analysis flows and enhancing design methodologies for SRAM designs. This role is crucial in delivering innovative products to market quickly, collaborating with various teams to integrate new ideas and optimize design flows. The engineer will leverage their expertise in custom transistor level circuits and programming to support digital IP designers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on state-of-the-art ASIC designs and contribute to groundbreaking projects.

Requirements

  • BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Fundamentals in custom transistor level circuits and SRAM designs.
  • Efficient programming skills in languages such as SKILL, Perl, Python, TCL, and Shell.
  • Solid understanding of industry standard circuit simulator and debug tools, and STA tools.
  • Knowledge of timing, power, noise, and EMIR analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Work on initiatives to automate custom analysis flows for fixing design margins.
  • Build and maintain memory compiler technologies for creating memory arrays in large SoC designs.
  • Debug and provide quick solutions for digital IP designers and users.
  • Define and develop QA checks to verify EDA views of SRAM and register files.
  • Collaborate with design and CAD teams to optimize design flows and timing/power methodologies for SRAM designs.
  • Apply machine learning to optimize flows and QA checks.
