Job description

Apple is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to contribute to the development of the next generation of cloud services infrastructure. This role involves working on crucial components of the iCloud platform and enhancing applications like FaceTime and iCloud Drive. The team prioritizes user privacy and focuses on building secure and private cloud solutions. Collaboration with various teams, including CloudKit and Cryptography, is essential to ensure reliability and performance.

Requirements

  • Software engineering experience with strong programming skills in Swift and/or Objective-C
  • Experience building on Apple Platforms such as macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS
  • Experience in building system-level frameworks and APIs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent related experience
  • Experience in Swift concurrency
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse groups of people
  • Experience with event-based programming or inter-process communication is a plus
  • Proven track record of working on rapid development cycles and shipping software on tight schedules

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the iCloud platform and its components
  • Collaborate with the CloudKit team and other engineering teams
  • Build secure and private cloud solutions with a focus on user privacy
  • Implement low-level and system-level skills including synchronization protocols and framework design
