JobsDesign Verification Engineer
Job description
This role is for a design verification engineer at Apple, focusing on producing fully functional first silicon for IP designs. The engineer will work within a diverse team to develop verification methodologies and ensure bug-free silicon for parts of the SoC/IP. The position involves all phases of pre-silicon verification, including test-plan development and verification environment creation. The engineer will also be responsible for tracking and reporting progress using various metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical subject area.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Proven experience with verification methodologies and tools such as simulators and waveform viewers.
- Deep experience with serial protocols such as PCIe or USB and parallel protocols such as DDR.
- Basic knowledge of formal verification methodology.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL.
Responsibilities
- Establish DV methodology and develop test plans.
- Create and develop verification environments, including stimulus and checkers.
- Write tests, debug issues, and ensure coverage and sign-off for RTL freeze and tape-out.
- Develop detailed test and coverage plans based on micro-architecture.
- Execute verification plans and debug test failures.
- Track and report DV progress using various metrics, including bugs and coverage.
