Job description
The role involves working on generative intelligence to enhance Apple products by developing middleware that powers intelligent and adaptive experiences. The team operates at the intersection of hardware, software, and intelligence, focusing on creating systems and tools that enable AI-driven experiences. Engineers will collaborate with various teams to build integrated solutions that are both performant and intuitive. This hands-on position requires a deep understanding of Apple platforms and a commitment to optimizing performance.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Swift, C++, or Objective-C and comfortable reading and writing low-level code.
- Deep experience developing for Apple platforms with a strong understanding of their runtime systems.
- Proven ability to design and deliver cross-layer solutions that bridge hardware and software.
- Demonstrated ability to influence architectural decisions across cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver middleware that powers intelligent experiences across Apple products.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, robotics, ML, design, and platform teams.
- Measure and optimize performance using profiling and instrumentation tools.
- Deconstruct large features and implement practical solutions considering time and complexity tradeoffs.
- Build tools that make complex systems understandable and debuggable.
