Job description
This role involves driving the future of Apple's products and applications by engineering efficient and scalable data pipelines. The team focuses on enhancing iCloud's data infrastructure to improve user experience across various applications. Candidates will work with a diverse group of data experts and tackle complex data challenges. The position requires a strong background in distributed data processing and a passion for leveraging data to improve Apple's offerings.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience working with Spark and other distributed data technologies such as Hadoop, Presto, Flink, and Druid.
- Highly proficient in at least one of Java, Python, or Scala.
- Deep expertise in Data Principles, Data Architecture, and Data Modeling.
- Strong SQL skills and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Conceptually familiar with AWS cloud resources like S3, EC2, and RDS.
- MS or BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Cloud Computing platforms like Amazon AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience building stream-processing applications using technologies like Apache Flink or Spark-Streaming.
