Job description
This role is for a design verification engineer at Apple, focusing on digital verification for IP designs. The engineer will work within a diverse team to ensure the production of fully functional first silicon. The position emphasizes developing verification methodologies and environments to support various features of the SoC/IP. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical subject area.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Experience in developing scalable and portable test-benches.
- Proven experience with verification methodologies and tools such as simulators and waveform viewers.
- Some knowledge of UVM and C/C++.
- Deep experience with serial protocols such as PCIe or USB, and parallel protocols such as DDR.
- Basic knowledge of formal verification methodology.
- Some experience with power-aware (UPF) verification methodology.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL.
Responsibilities
- Establish DV methodology and develop test plans.
- Develop verification environments including stimulus and checkers.
- Write tests, debug issues, and ensure coverage.
- Ensure bug-free first silicon for part of the SoC/IP.
- Develop detailed test and coverage plans based on micro-architecture.
- Execute verification plans and debug test failures.
- Track and report DV progress using various metrics.
