Job description

As a member of the Cellular Systems Engineering team, you will tackle challenging problems related to power architecture and optimization for cellular products. The team's mission is to design and deliver the most power-efficient solutions. You will work cross-functionally to define product power goals, develop system specifications, and contribute to power optimization efforts. This role offers the opportunity to engage in both pre-Si power modeling and post-Si power measurements.

Requirements

  • BS degree and 10+ years of relevant experience is required.
  • Familiarity with 3GPP LTE and NR specifications.
  • Knowledge of cellular modem architecture.
  • Knowledge of power architecture concepts including process node corners, clock/power gating, and clock/voltage control.
  • Experience in power model and energy model.
  • Experience in post-Si power measurement and power breakdown analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Define product power goals at early stages of the project concept.
  • Put together system specifications for power architecture.
  • Work through bring-up and contribute to commercialization.
  • Define system level requirements and propose innovative ideas.
  • Define power architecture and create the pre-Si power model.
  • Study post-Si power measurements and contribute to power optimization efforts.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
