Job description

As a Maps SDK Engineer on the Maps Developer Platform team at Apple, you will work with web technologies and cartographic technology to enhance the Apple Maps experience for developers. Your role involves building APIs and tools that support the Apple Maps Developer experience. You will take new features from concept to implementation and collaborate with various clients to create impactful mapping solutions. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and present them at Apple's Developer Conference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • At least 2+ years of software engineering experience in a production environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with modern web frameworks such as React or Vue.
  • Experience writing testable code and familiarity with unit testing frameworks.
  • 6+ years of production experience in a related role.
  • Familiarity with system architecture and API design.
  • Proven track record of architecting, developing, releasing, and supporting critically important software components.
  • Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or other spatial visualization systems.
