Job description
The role involves defining the architecture and overseeing the operation of distributed web services that enforce security policies for Apple products. You will work within the Platform Architecture group, which connects hardware, software, and servers into a unified system. The team is dedicated to enhancing the security of Apple's advanced consumer devices, ensuring the trust of millions of customers. This position requires collaboration across multiple disciplines to drive continuous security improvements.
Requirements
- BS in EE/CE/CS or a related relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with secure boot and establishing hardware roots of trust.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying secure web services and scalable infrastructure for highly available applications.
- Knowledge of cryptographic principles such as symmetric vs asymmetric crypto and PKI frameworks.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Define the architecture for distributed web services that enforce security policies.
- Oversee the operation of security policies for the development, manufacture, deployment, and operation of Apple products.
- Collaborate across multiple disciplines including software engineering, hardware, and infrastructure.
- Perform critical analysis of security properties across hardware and software systems.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives and provide architectural guidance to teams.
- Build and use AI-assisted workflows to enhance efficiency and improve output quality.
