Job description

Apple is seeking a Wireless System Engineer to join their silicon design group. This role involves system integration, design of radio calibration algorithms, chip bringup, and characterization of wireless SoC products. The engineer will work on innovative challenges and contribute to products that enhance the lives of millions of customers. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and hands-on experience in wireless systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree.
  • Hands-on experience with chip bringup and tuning wireless transmitter or receiver chains for optimal performance.
  • Familiarity with calibration algorithms.
  • Basic understanding of communication theory, DSP, OFDM systems, and radio architectures.
  • Experience with Python, Matlab, and/or C/C++ implementation.
  • Good understanding of signal processing algorithms such as timing recovery and automatic gain control.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols like IEEE 802.11 standards or LTE.
  • Experience designing algorithms for calibration and digital pre-distortion techniques.
  • Hands-on experience using wireless test lab equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
  • Excellent analytical and debug skills.
  • Experience building test automation and verification flow development with scripting languages.
