Apple is seeking a Wireless System Engineer to join their silicon design group. This role involves system integration, design of radio calibration algorithms, chip bringup, and characterization of wireless SoC products. • Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree.
• Hands-on experience with chip bringup and tuning wireless transmitter or receiver chains for optimal performance.
• Familiarity with calibration algorithms.
• Basic understanding of communication theory, DSP, OFDM systems, and radio architectures.
• Experience with Python, Matlab, and/or C/C++ implementation.
• Good understanding of signal processing algorithms such as timing recovery and automatic gain control.
• Knowledge of wireless communication protocols like IEEE 802.11 standards or LTE.
• Experience designing algorithms for calibration and digital pre-distortion techniques.
• Hands-on experience using wireless test lab equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Excellent analytical and debug skills.
• Experience building test automation and verification flow development with scripting languages.
