Job description

The role involves shaping the security direction of Apple's products within the Platform Architecture group. You will work with a team of engineers and architects to secure advanced consumer devices and safeguard user data. Requirements

  • BS in EE/CE/CS or a related relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 20+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with secure boot and establishing hardware roots of trust.
  • Experience with common programming languages such as Python, Go, or C/C++.
  • Knowledge of cryptographic principles and threat modeling methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Define the architecture for distributed web services that enforce security policies.
  • Oversee the operation of security measures for the development and deployment of Apple products.
  • Collaborate across multiple disciplines including software engineering, hardware, and infrastructure.
  • Analyze industry and regulatory trends to inform security policy direction.
  • Communicate complex security concepts to senior executive audiences.
