In this role, you will be part of the Silicon Technologies group, focusing on designing and manufacturing high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC) solutions. You will analyze silicon performance data and enhance static timing analysis tools and methodologies to improve Apple products. Your work will involve collaboration with design teams and product engineering to optimize performance and battery life across various devices. This position requires a deep understanding of advanced silicon technology and its impact on product performance.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement of BS degree plus 10 years of relevant industry experience
- Coding experience in one or more of C, Perl, Python, or Tcl
- Experience working in static timing analysis, DFT, physical design, failure analysis, or CAD
- Solid coding and debugging skills in C, Perl, Python, or Tcl
- Fundamentals of statistics, hypothesis testing, data mining, Machine Learning, and Design of Experiments
Responsibilities
- Analyze silicon performance data and incorporate findings into static timing analysis tools and methodologies
- Work with design teams, DFT, CAD, and product engineering to design experiments and analyze results
- Develop and deploy design closure margins and methodologies to optimize power and performance tradeoffs
- Establish correlation metrics to support design closure activities including Static Timing Analysis
