The Security Tools team at Apple is seeking software engineers to develop secure language features for C/C++ and enhance security features in the Clang compiler. This role involves collaborating with security and operating system engineers to shape the future of Apple's platforms and tools. The position focuses on eliminating vulnerabilities at the language level, contributing to the Clang/LLVM open source project, and engaging with the open source community. Candidates will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of language feature development from concept to deployment.
Requirements
- Expertise in compiler design and implementation
- Ability to write secure and high performing code with C/C++
- Knowledge of memory safety and security
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience; advanced degrees welcome
- Experience working across organizational boundaries
- Knowledge of LLVM/Clang or open source development
- Knowledge of security mitigation and exploitation techniques
- Passion for improving compilers and developer tools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive and respectful attitude in a diverse environment
Responsibilities
- Develop security-oriented language features for C/C++ in the Clang compiler
- Collaborate with security engineers and operating system engineers across Apple
