This role involves working as a CAD engineer at Apple, focusing on the development and enhancement of custom analog power intent methodology and circuit ERC solutions for transistor level analysis. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to influence circuit design across technology nodes and develop CAD flows for analog circuit SPICE simulation. The position requires strong programming skills and a passion for hardware, contributing to the advancement of analog, mixed-signal, and RF circuit design. The engineer will also lead efforts in developing and validating custom SPICE simulation flows and enhancing the design environment.

• Minimum requirement of a BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in SPICE simulation and design environment to handle flow/tool issues in Analog/RF circuit domain.
• Programming/scripting skills in Perl, Python, TCL, SKILL language, or Shell.
• Knowledge of circuit simulations with Analog/RFIC design and/or related CAD/automation support areas.
• Experience with Cadence ADE environment including knowledge of Virtuoso Schematic Editor and related tools.
• Knowledge of Spice simulators, including Spectre, Hspice, and ADS.
• Ability to solve simulation accuracy, speed, and capacity issues.

• Solve issues related to transistor level simulations on Analog, RF, and Microwave applications.
• Guide and assist designers in solving tool issues related to Analog Design Environment and develop automation flows.
• Steer methodology on SPICE simulation and modeling techniques related to circuits.
• Architect and develop next generation in-house EDA CAD flow solutions related to Analog and Mixed-signal simulations.
• Collaborate with layout design, technology, and third-party EDA tool vendors.
• Conduct results analysis and enhance the custom design environment.
