The Apple Cloud Infrastructure team is seeking enthusiastic developers to join their collaborative and skilled group focused on building observability services for Apple software developers. Requirements
- 4+ years of industry experience
- Experience and insight into designing, implementing, and supporting highly scalable infrastructure services
- Deep understanding and work experience in distributed systems
- Deep understanding of core CS concepts including data structures, algorithms, and concurrent programming
- Deep understanding and work experience with distributed data collection and data streaming
- Proficient with running services on bare-metal Linux systems
- Proficient in one of Golang, Java, or Rust
- Experience with SNMP is desirable
- Experience integrating and using observability or telemetry systems to monitor distributed services
- Experience with one of Prometheus, Telegraf, or OpenTelemetry is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical capabilities
- Passion for developing and testing clear, robust code
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies and frameworks
- Great communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design and build a suite of observability services to help Apple engineers gain insights into their systems
- Influence the direction and backend of critical Apple internet services
- Challenge the status quo and contribute ideas to improve processes
- Collaborate with team members to deliver tools that empower developers
- Ensure the system scales globally and remains highly available
