Job description
This role is for an expert wireless systems engineer on Apple's Wireless Architecture team, focusing on the development of wireless technologies through modeling and simulations. The team is dedicated to enhancing the performance of Apple devices in various radio environments. You will work on understanding wireless protocol interactions and the effects of wireless channels on device performance. Requirements
- BS degree and 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- In-depth understanding of the fundamentals of wireless communications
- Experience with wireless simulation
- Skilled in software languages such as C, C++, and Python
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of wireless systems and protocols including Cellular, WiFi, and Bluetooth
- Familiarity with version control tools
- Knowledge and experience with AI and LLM
- PhD is preferred
Responsibilities
- Model the network protocols and the effects of wireless channels
- Conduct studies using the simulation platform
- Provide reference simulations for performance analysis
- Analyze interactions across different layers of wireless protocols
- Study the RF interactions of different wireless technologies within devices
