Job description
This role is for an expert wireless systems engineer on Apple's Wireless Architecture team, focusing on the development of wireless technologies through system modeling and simulations. The team is dedicated to enhancing the performance of Apple devices in complex radio environments. You will work on modeling network protocols and the effects of wireless channels and RF interactions. Requirements
- BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- Strong and deep understanding of the fundamentals of wireless communications
- Strong understanding of wireless channel propagation and RF design
- Experience with transceiver algorithm design
- Solid understanding of test-driven and API-driven development methodologies
- Skilled in software languages such as C/C++/Python
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong experience with wireless simulation
- Deep knowledge of wireless systems and protocols such as Cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, and networking protocols like TCP/IP
- Knowledge of event-driven simulations
- Familiarity with version control tools
- Knowledge and experience with AI and LLM
- PhD is preferred
Responsibilities
- Model the network protocols and the effects of wireless channels and RF interactions in the simulation platform
- Provide reference simulations and conduct particular studies using the simulation platform
- Analyze performance of devices in complicated radio and network conditions
- Collaborate with the platform architecture team on wireless technologies at all layers
