Job description

The Hardware Technology Packaging team at Apple focuses on inventing and developing electronic packaging solutions for various consumer electronic products. In this role, you will lead the development of package substrate technology and work on optimizing package structures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the best package performance while managing the technology roadmap. This position requires a strong background in substrate technology and project management skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree.
  • MS and/or Ph.D. with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of substrate technology and manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience in substrate manufacturing and technology development.
  • Familiarity with package assembly and integration processes is preferred.
  • Experience with Cadence Allegro platform tools and design review for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead SoC package substrate technology development and roadmap definition.
  • Work with substrate manufacturing industry, foundry, and OSAT to bring package substrate solutions from concept to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Drive the development of sophisticated package solutions, new architecture, materials, and process development.
  • Define specifications for package substrate technology.
  • Manage international travel for collaboration and project needs.
