Job description

The role is for a Software Developer in Apple's iPhone Operations Systems Architecture Team, focusing on optimizing manufacturing processes through innovative software solutions. This position involves building tools, web apps, and automation to support the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team during new product introductions. The developer will also lead agile project management practices to ensure effective team delivery. The role requires a blend of software development, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of project experience in architecting application interactions and building applications or services in manufacturing or supply chain.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 10-15%.
  • Ability to evaluate and contribute code in TypeScript, Python, and Java, with React experience being a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience leading agile teams and managing project delivery using frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with RESTful practices and streaming/eventing platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Proven track record of owning and delivering on cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience querying SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, with experience in Snowflake being a plus.
  • Experience with elements of web applications, including web design and technical roadmap planning.
  • Experience building CI/CD tooling to accelerate team’s time to feedback and time to delivery.
