As an ASIC STA Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for ensuring timing sign-off and developing sign-off flow for SoC design. • BS degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Proven knowledge of ASIC design timing closure flow and methodology.
• 2+ years of experience in writing ASIC timing constraints and timing closure.
• Expertise in STA tools such as Primetime and knowledge of timing corners/modes.
• Hands-on experience in timing/SDC constraints generation and management.
• Proficient in scripting languages like Tcl and Perl.
• Familiarity with synthesis, DFT, and backend related methodology and tools.

• Perform timing sign-off and develop STA and sign-off flow.
• Own IP and block level timing constraints for both regular and custom timing requirements.
• Interact closely with RTL designers to understand design intent and clock structure.
• Collaborate with the CAD team to develop and understand flow.
• Work with the Physical design team to close and sign-off timing.
• Innovate timing constraints and flow to facilitate timing closure.
• Verify timing constraints and address any potential pessimism in timing analysis.
