This role is for an experienced software engineer focused on building JVM-based libraries that support Apple's services. • 2+ years of experience in understanding concurrency and multi-threaded concepts
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• General knowledge about Garbage Collection and its impacts on library/application development
• Experience in Traffic/Edge Engineering or Cloud Networking
• Proficient with networking and inter-process communication
• Experience with async RPC libraries such as Netty, ServiceTalk, Finagle, VertX, Spring Reactor, gRPC Java, etc.
• Deep knowledge of Java Memory Model
• Understanding of popular networking protocols such as HTTP/1.x, HTTP/2, and HTTP/3 is desirable

• Contribute to and build JVM-based libraries that enable services at Apple's scale
• Make informed technology choices within complex architectures
• Coach and mentor teammates, considering their unique skills and backgrounds
• Provide technical guidance and constructive feedback to foster team growth
