Apple's RF Systems Engineering team is seeking a passionate individual to enhance multi-radio coexistence performance across various wireless technologies. This role involves hands-on hardware engineering and collaboration with RF Test Engineers and chipset teams. The successful candidate will assess and resolve coexistence challenges throughout the product development process. The position offers a unique opportunity to shape products that will inspire millions of customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with at least one radio technology: Cellular, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Thread, NFC, or UWB.
- Knowledge of RF component characteristics and proficiency with lab equipment including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
- Knowledge of wireless architectures including front-end design, antenna sharing, and link budget line-up.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of fundamental antenna theory.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering with 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proven understanding of RF hardware and best practices for system-level grounding, shielding, isolation, and electromagnetic interference mitigation.
- Experience in performing hands-on disassembly and system-level debug at the module, reference board, or system level.
- Experience in debugging and optimizing conducted or radiated radio systems.
- Experience in antenna design and EM simulation.
Responsibilities
- Assess multi-radio coexistence performance across Apple's wireless ecosystem.
- Collaborate with RF Test Engineers, chipset teams, and cross-functional partners.
- Identify, debug, and resolve coexistence challenges from early design stages through final production.
- Perform hands-on hardware engineering and data-driven validation.
