Job description

Apple's Camera Algorithm team is seeking exceptional engineers to develop image capture and processing algorithms for all Apple product cameras. The role involves working with core camera technologies, including machine learning and image signal processing. Team members will have the opportunity to innovate and iterate on camera performance, collaborating closely with various teams. A self-starter attitude is essential in this fast-paced and multifaceted environment.

Requirements

  • MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics or a similar field.
  • Hands-on run time ISP algorithm development experience.
  • Knowledge of ISP HW processing pipeline.
  • Understanding of camera module optical stack and CMOS Bayer sensor.
  • Passion for image quality excellence.
  • Deep understanding of sensor characteristics, optics, and image signal processing.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in scene understanding and auto exposure ISP algorithm development and tuning.
  • Develop architecture, configuration, and pixel processing tuning.
  • Implement tone rendering and grading for targeted displays.
  • Manage auto white balance and color management.
  • Work on runtime optical flow and image registration and fusion.
  • Develop machine learning solutions for real-time image processing with low latency.
