Job description
The Display Engineer role at Apple focuses on the development of OLED Displays for iPhone products. This position requires collaboration with various teams to define display module specifications and ensure optimal front-of-screen performance. The engineer will act as a liaison between system design, electrical engineering, mechanical teams, and display suppliers. The role also involves performance testing and addressing engineering issues to support project needs.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar field.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Technical expertise in optical design, semiconductor optoelectronics, and display technologies.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python and LabVIEW.
- Knowledge and experience in OLED display specific optics.
- PhD or Masters degree is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to define display module specifications.
- Perform display performance testing and review data from vendors and multi-functional groups.
- Identify and drive closure on open engineering issues efficiently.
- Ensure display goals are met for engineering builds and initial mass production.
- Address issues from initial ramp and field returns related to displays.
