Job description

Apple is seeking an experienced Security Engineering Program Manager to join the Apple Services Engineering organization. This role focuses on the development and security hardening of critical cloud services that power Apple's products. The candidate will partner with various teams to improve operational security and privacy efficiency while leading projects of varying scale and complexity. The position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to influence software delivery across multiple engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management successfully leading highly cross-functional software development.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent work experience in project management or security engineering.
  • Experience leading large, complex programs from requirements gathering through software development and release qualification.
  • Experience managing cross-org dependencies across multiple engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with software and server delivery, reliability, security, privacy, and compliance review workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects autonomously with consultative direction from leadership.
  • Influence and drive software delivery by partnering with program and engineering leaders.
  • Review business requirements and establish expectations for services requested.
  • Develop and execute processes, frameworks, metrics, project plans, and define scope, schedule, deliverables, and resources.
  • Advise and carry out risk assessment and mitigation plans as needed.
  • Drive maturity programs with cross-functional organizations and teams.
  • Represent engineering teams with other internal and external organizations within Apple.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
