Job description

The Apple Advanced Technologies Group is seeking a motivated electrical engineer to design next-generation touch sensors. This role focuses on integrating high-precision, low-latency multi-touch and stylus sensors across various product lines. The team addresses complex multi-disciplinary challenges in areas such as circuit analysis, electro-magnetics, and algorithm development. Successful candidates will leverage their creativity and problem-solving skills to enhance user experiences in Apple products.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Strong analog, mixed-signal, and electro-magnetic fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools such as FEA (Comsol, ANSYS, Maxwell), MATLAB, Python, or SPICE.
  • Hands-on experience with system-level design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid teamwork and leadership skills.
  • A Ph.D. or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design and implementation of touch sensors.
  • Build models to understand key tradeoffs in sensor design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sensor module solutions.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
