Job description

In this role, you will lead a team of machine learning engineers, software engineers, and data engineers focused on delivering efficient generative AI models for summarization capabilities across various data types. You will drive end-to-end research and development to create high-quality summaries for Apple users, utilizing on-device and server-based models. The position involves improving summarization models for knowledge-seeking questions and enhancing user experiences across Apple's ecosystem. Collaboration with organizational partners is essential to impact billions of users worldwide.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in leading engineering, applied research, or machine learning in natural language processing and generative AI models.
  • Proven record of consistent delivery of technology and products across the full machine learning life cycle.
  • MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, information retrieval, data mining, or a related field.
  • Strong background and experience in machine learning, natural language processing, and retrieval-augmented generation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
