Job description

The Mid-Level Electrical Engineer role at Jacobs focuses on designing electrical power systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Registered California Professional Engineer (electrical) with ability to reciprocate as needed
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience related to the water industry in an electrical engineering role
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Strong understanding of NEC and NFPA 820

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment facilities.
  • Prepare contract documents for plans, specifications, and cost estimates for projects.
  • Develop basis of design reports, One-Line Diagrams, and Load Calculations.
  • Perform power system studies for electrical systems including load flow and short circuit analysis.
  • Engage in quality control and quality assurance of electrical engineering plans and specifications.
