Job description

The Senior Electrical Engineer will join Jacobs' team in Greenville, South Carolina, focusing on delivering innovative electrical engineering solutions for various projects. The engineer will leverage their extensive experience to tackle challenges in power system planning, lighting design, and construction coordination. The position also involves limited travel to engage with clients and understand their needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • United States Citizenship
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering
  • Familiarity with ICC & NEC Building Codes
  • Experience with industrial buildings, power, UPS systems, and generator systems
  • Basic skills in Revit and 3D CADD

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
  • Prepare load analysis for different stages of design.
  • Oversee the preparation of drawings detailing system design.
  • Prepare basis of design reports and document energy compliance calculations.
  • Design grounding and lightning protection systems.
  • Select equipment and fixtures for use in building projects.
  • Coordinate design with engineers and architects of other disciplines.
  • Facilitate construction administration and support project designs.
