Job description

The Senior Pipe Stress Engineer role at Jacobs focuses on providing technical leadership in piping and tubing stress analysis for complex Life Sciences and biopharmaceutical projects. This position requires extensive experience and expertise in ASME piping codes, as well as the ability to mentor junior engineers. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering degree.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in pipe stress engineering.
  • Extensive experience with biopharmaceutical and Life Sciences piping systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, and ASME BPE.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard pipe stress software such as AutoPIPE, CAESAR II, or ROHR2.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform pipe and tube stress analysis for complex Life Sciences and biopharmaceutical facilities.
  • Execute and review stress analyses for piping and tubing systems, including thermal expansion and contraction.
  • Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for stress deliverables across multiple projects.
  • Mentor, guide, and technically supervise junior and mid-level pipe stress engineers.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with international engineering teams across multiple time zones.
