The Senior Airfield Civil Engineer & Design Manager will be a key member of the Aviation team, focusing on complex airfield projects from concept through construction. This role involves leveraging design skills to lead project teams in planning and reviewing aviation design documents. The position offers opportunities for professional growth while working on large-scale projects such as taxiways and runways. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 8-12 years of relevant experience in aviation design and construction projects.
- Professional Engineer License (P.E.) in Texas or the ability to obtain it through reciprocity within 3 months of hire.
- Knowledge of current aviation industry regulations and standards.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Responsibilities
- Manage design efforts throughout all stages of a project to ensure they remain on schedule and on budget.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align project design documents with objectives.
- Prepare complete and accurate design submittals in conformance with project requirements.
- Lead presentations of design elements to clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct peer reviews of design submittals and provide constructive feedback.
- Guide design teams through competing interests and project constraints to achieve optimal design outcomes.
- Conduct on-site inspections of ongoing construction projects to verify compliance with design.
