Job description
Apple's wireless silicon development team is seeking a Wireless Design Engineer to contribute to the design of wireless MAC and its integration within the wireless SoC. This role is critical for delivering innovative products to millions of customers efficiently. The engineer will work closely with software, system, and design verification teams to create advanced wireless MAC IPs. The focus is on achieving optimal power and area trade-offs while ensuring high performance in low power applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proven track record of high performance designs in high volume production for low power applications.
- Solid background in computer architecture including bus fabric, memory systems, and power management.
- Experience in ASIC design front end flows including Lint, CDC, STA, and LEC.
- Knowledge of wireless protocols such as Bluetooth, WLAN, or Zigbee is preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in ASIC design flow.
- Proficiency in HDL languages, such as Verilog or SystemVerilog.
- Scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python are desirable.
