Job description

The Touch Technology team at Apple focuses on developing innovative touch solutions that enhance user experience across various products like iPhones and iPads. The team aims to create the best multi-touch user experience by fostering a collaborative and hands-on environment. Engineers in this role will develop strategies to ensure Apple products meet high touch performance standards. This includes executing validation and characterization methodologies from proof-of-concept to mass production.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Strong electrical engineering background in analog/mixed-signal testing methodologies.
  • Experience in owning validation/test efforts on products.
  • High proficiency in software and algorithm prototyping using scripting languages like Matlab or Python.
  • Multi-disciplinary understanding of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and physics principles.
  • Experience with touch technology.
  • An MS degree with relevant industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute validation and characterization methodologies for touch solutions.
  • Ensure Apple products meet exacting touch performance standards.
  • Engage in hardware prototyping and design of experiments.
  • Conduct failure analysis and corrective action.
