The Apple Watch team is seeking an Automation Engineer to enhance testing capabilities for iOS and watchOS releases. This role involves creating and maintaining automated UI testing to ensure software stability and reliability. Requirements
- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Swift, and Bash.
- Experience with Git and codebase management.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with test methodologies such as unit testing and functional testing.
- Strong passion for quality assurance in software.
- Experience developing test strategies, including writing test plans and test cases.
- Ability to investigate, debug, and triage difficult problems independently and cooperatively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinker with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience developing UI automation, preferably in Apple frameworks such as XCTest.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and expand automated UI testing for watchOS.
- Drive testing capabilities for all Apple operating systems.
- Triage testing results to identify software bugs before release.
- Collaborate closely with development teams and management.
- Plan and shape upcoming products to ensure high quality.
