Job description

This role at Apple involves working as a core member of the CAD organization to develop next-generation electromagnetic analysis methodologies for advanced RFIC and multi-die designs. The position focuses on applying Maxwell's equations and field theory to enhance EM simulation flows using various techniques. The engineer will collaborate with design groups and EDA vendors to ensure robust signal integrity and performance across advanced packaging systems. This is a highly visible role that requires both technical expertise and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a BS degree and 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one of Tcl, Python, or Perl scripting languages.
  • Experience in EDA Tool, CAD flow, and RFIC methodology.
  • Hands-on knowledge of industry-leading Electromagnetics tools such as HFSS, Clarity, and ADS.
  • Experience in the development of large-scale software in a multi-tech, multi-user, multi-site environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support state-of-the-art Electromagnetic Finite-Element 3D solvers and Method-of-Moments solvers.
  • Streamline and automate SOC EM analysis CAD flow with ownership of the entire flow.
  • Support and collaborate with design groups on their Electromagnetics requirements for various post-layout flows.
  • Work side by side with EDA vendors and foundries for tool qualification, debug, and enhancement.
  • Coordinate and drive initiatives with little to no oversight.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life.
