Job description
The role is focused on defining GNSS signal processing hardware architectures within Apple's Cellular team. The team is dedicated to developing highly energy efficient and robust GNSS receiver designs that push industry boundaries. Collaboration with various product development groups is essential to enhance the product experience for customers globally. The position requires expertise in system specification and modeling using MATLAB, C++, or SystemC.
Requirements
- BS degree and a minimum of 20 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong background in wireless communications with a focus on digital hardware system design.
- Familiarity with digital communication, signal processing, spread spectrum systems, or systems theory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a multi-functional environment.
- MSEE or higher is preferred.
- 15+ years of proven experience in GNSS baseband signal processing is preferred.
- Proficiency with wireless communications system modeling and estimation theory.
- Solid programming skills in MATLAB, C++, or SystemC.
- Good understanding of VLSI implementation, architecture, and power optimization.
Responsibilities
- Define GNSS signal processing hardware architectures.
- Develop system specifications and modeling in MATLAB, C++, or SystemC for RTL implementations.
- Enable outstanding GNSS performance balancing ultra-low power efficiency with high performance.
- Collaborate with other product development groups to improve GNSS capabilities.
