Job description

The iPhone team is seeking experienced Hardware Design Engineers who are passionate about making impactful design decisions that enhance the user experience for millions of iPhone users. This role involves working collaboratively within a creative team, starting from product concept to mass production. Candidates will leverage their expertise in Electrical Engineering to lead innovative designs and tackle complex system challenges. Opportunities for international travel may also be available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in hardware design.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals including analog and high-speed digital design.
  • Experience in designing complex system architectures.
  • Proven ability to analyze solutions and make system design trade-offs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and integration of custom hardware into constrained systems.
  • Collaborate daily with multi-functional technology teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Drive system-level issues to closure with a proactive attitude.
  • Utilize hands-on experience with lab test equipment to debug difficult hardware issues.
  • Create schematic captures and perform PCB layout.
