Job description

This System Engineering position involves working with multi-functional groups to innovate iPhone and iPad products. The role requires active engagement with Hardware, Module, and Design & Validation teams at Apple. The focus is on evaluating system design, optimizing test processes, and supporting hardware development activities. Candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and possess strong coding skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Hands-on experience in prototype work and functional verification with electronics
  • Proficiency with lab equipment such as digital multi-meters and oscilloscopes
  • Strong coding and scripting skills in Python, Perl, Shell, and Unix
  • Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is preferred
  • Prior experience with prototype hardware and development boards is helpful

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate overall system design by conducting evaluation tests
  • Support Hardware teams in crafting next-generation iPhones and iPads
  • Build Failure Analysis reports and make recommendations for coverage improvements
  • Develop benchmarking matrix and modify automation scripts for performance graphs
  • Work towards closing potential test gaps and improving scripts
  • Support hardware development activities at manufacturing partner facilities
