Job description
This System Engineering position involves working with multi-functional groups to innovate iPhone and iPad products. The role requires active engagement with Hardware, Module, and Design & Validation teams at Apple. The focus is on evaluating system design, optimizing test processes, and supporting hardware development activities. Candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and possess strong coding skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Hands-on experience in prototype work and functional verification with electronics
- Proficiency with lab equipment such as digital multi-meters and oscilloscopes
- Strong coding and scripting skills in Python, Perl, Shell, and Unix
- Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is preferred
- Prior experience with prototype hardware and development boards is helpful
Responsibilities
- Evaluate overall system design by conducting evaluation tests
- Support Hardware teams in crafting next-generation iPhones and iPads
- Build Failure Analysis reports and make recommendations for coverage improvements
- Develop benchmarking matrix and modify automation scripts for performance graphs
- Work towards closing potential test gaps and improving scripts
- Support hardware development activities at manufacturing partner facilities
