The role involves working as a Thermal/Mechanical Engineer within the AWS Hardware Engineering team, focusing on the design and development of server platforms. The team is dedicated to creating innovative cooling and mechanical technologies for large-scale server deployments. Requirements
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and thermal systems.
- Experience in systems integration of complex server products.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
- Experience with the project management of technical projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and thermal design and development for complex electronic systems.
- Design and validate systems and subsystems to meet program objectives.
- Participate in the cross-discipline design process working with other HW and SW team members to develop optimized integrated solutions.
- Conduct failure analysis and solution validation for product development and fleet systems.
- Manage interaction with overseas resources.
- Provide mentorship and technical reviews to a team of mechanical/thermal design engineers.
