As an Amazon Fleet Remediation Project Design Electrical Engineer, you will lead design projects in operational data centers to remediate issues, upgrade infrastructure, and add new services. You will provide lifecycle support from design through implementation and act as a technical subject matter expert. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- NETA or ASHRAE certification or commissioning specific education courses
- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
- Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
- Experience using a variety of web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing
Responsibilities
- Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design solutions that improve availability and sustainability.
- Prepare and review short circuit coordination studies and maintain software models to match as-built site conditions.
- Perform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region.
- Interface with internal and external teams to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability.
- Manage design and as-built drawings and documents.
- Prepare and present progress reports to all relevant stakeholders.
- Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover.
