As a Lead Engineer within the Wealth Management Custody / Asset Transfers Engineering Team at Goldman Sachs, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting key platforms used by clients, wealth advisors, and operations. This role involves leading a high-performing global engineering team to create scalable, cloud-native microservice applications. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to drive architectural roadmaps and implement high-impact features. Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related Engineering Field
- 12+ years of relevant professional experience
- Self-motivated with an analytical mindset capable of solving complex technical problems under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in building and maintaining applications involving post trade processing and custodial services
- Experience in modernizing legacy applications in agile environments
- Extensive experience managing production environments with production engineers and global stakeholders
- Experience in data visualization and functional design for complex financial datasets
- Experience in integrating AI-assisted engineering tools into the development workflow
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL solutions
- Experience developing Java / Spring Boot microservice applications and REST APIs
Responsibilities
- Lead a high-performing global engineering team in the design, development, and deployment of scalable applications.
- Partner with SRE and production support teams to implement observability and maintain high availability for financial systems.
- Drive engineering excellence through rigorous code reviews and hands-on mentorship.
- Define and enforce global software development lifecycles and best practices for API contracts.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to drive consensus on architectural roadmaps.
- Champion the team’s Agile evolution by leading user story refinement and sprint planning.
