The role is for a Cloud Engineer within Goldman Sachs' Core Engineering team, focusing on building and managing a cutting-edge cloud platform. Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience with at least 3+ years of familiarity with AWS services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Strong networking background including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
Responsibilities
- Work on various components as a Software Engineer within the Cloud Infrastructure team.
- Focus on building connectivity products and migrating workloads to the public cloud.
- Manage the full lifecycle of software components from requirements through design and release.
- Collaborate with globally-distributed cross-functional teams to build customer-centric products.
- Help communicate and promote best practices for public cloud application development across the firm.
- Proactively manage issues and risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
