Job description

The role involves working as part of the Cloud Platform team at Goldman Sachs, focusing on designing and implementing secure cloud architecture aligned with industry standards. Engineers will contribute to building a cutting-edge platform that enables safe and secure deployment of services in the public cloud. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and a strong emphasis on DevOps culture. Candidates will be expected to lead initiatives in cloud security and automation while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant professional experience with at least 3+ years of familiarity with AWS services.
  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in a consultative/advisory role with demonstrated ability to influence executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior audiences.
  • Proficient in Java, Python, Javascript, Typescript, or Node.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architecture aligned with NIST frameworks.
  • Lead deployment and integration of cloud security posture management platforms.
  • Architect policy-as-code frameworks for infrastructure security controls.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and guide other engineers in cloud best practices.
  • Provide regional timezone coverage for cloud access and security platform operational issues.
